Tammy Renstrom is mother of two children and grandmother to 5 children that are the lights of her life. She truly is one of the most selfless people I know. The type of mom who never cared about herself being recognized as long as she could bring a smile to her children's face. All through my elementary school years, she would pack my brother's and mine lunches every single day, jam-packed full of love, and equipped with an awesome sandwich, mini root beer or sprite, twix candy bar and a ho ho with some random vegetable thrown in the mix -- as well as a handwritten note on a napkin. Now as you can imagine my brother and I were the envy of all to have a mom so "Awesome." She made sure our house was the house that other kids wanted to be at. She didn't like us being somewhere else. It worried her too much and so we had an air hockey table, ping pong table, dual basketball mini shooter and all of the latest video games you could imagine. She made sure our home was a safe haven and a place where many could go to escape from the struggles of the world.
Tammy is a living miracle and we are so happy to have her here with us today. She became very ill in 2018. Doctors even told us to prepare the family for the worst. They did not think she would make it through the night as the doctors and nurses worked on her, my brother and I kneeled in prayer begging the Lord to give us more time with her. Through God's grace, she survived and has surpassed many obstacles, such as breaking her leg and surviving the pandemic of 2020.
She has a love for sports and is a die hard Utah Jazz fan that she passed on to her children and grandchildren. She loves music and has an incredible voice in which she even had the opportunity to serve our country on a USO tour when she was 18 years old. She is our Superhero! We love you, Mom!
