Momivate's Atmosphere CouncilMom, Annette T. Durfee, joined the "Momversation" to discuss the culminating efforts of using the five senses to create an atmosphere, an overall "ambiance" of love and safety! She categorized it into four areas that start with P -- watch the interview to discover them!
A big thank you to Annette for all that she contributes to Momivate! She makes it clear that she loves motherhood in spite of the obstacles and knows that it's worthy of our efforts to face those challenges and focus on the joy!

The catch-all phrase, "The Village," indicates that moms have an innumerable amount of people who they can reach out to for help in shaping their children. Michelle Den Boer, The Mom to Moms, discusses how to build these relationships for the benefit of both our children and ourselves.
Michelle invites all moms to receive her free course: 11 strategies to empower your children to make right choices!
Here's the link to access it! https://momtomoms.vipmembervault.com/products/courses/view/1084914
Momivate is so thankful for Michelle sharing her time and insights! We're also excited to welcome her onto our all-volunteer team as we create a curriculum for Momivators to share with their MomUnities (once that program is up and going!)
Momivate empowers moms to elevate their mothering experience by helping moms recognize how valuable their work is as they R.A.I.S.E. U.P. Society! This acronym expands our vision of motherhood beyond simply household chores, as each letter delineates a way that deliberate motherhood can impact society, one child at a time.
The R is for RELATIONSHIPS -- and there are so many different kinds of relationships. In this episode of Momversations, we talk with Julie Lee, author of the book, I See You, about how we can support one another as moms, reaching out in compassion and rejecting competition.
Julie is offering our MomUnity 20% OFF her books at cedarfort.com using the code: JULIE20
Momivate is so grateful for the wonderful Momversation we enjoyed with Julie and the wisdom she so willingly shared!
Momivate teaches that Moms R.A.I.S.E. U.P. Society -- with each of the letters in this acronym identifying a role of motherhood that isn't just chauffeuring or making sure the kids don't drown! The "R" is for RELATIONSHIPS -- and there are so many kinds.
In this Momversation, Emmalou Penrod of Healing Your Families talks about relationships with the grandparents of our children -- so, our own parents and our in-laws. These can be so advantageous as we realize that we are not on the mothering journey alone. These people who love our children almost as intensely as we do can be so beneficial in the lives of our children when we cultivate positive relationships based on boundaries, trust, and gratitude. And our children can be the jewels in the crowns of that older generation during their golden years -- and can help them figure out computers! Ha ha.
Momivate is so thankful to Emmalou Penrod for freely sharing her wisdom as she's gathered so much in her years of motherhood and grandmotherhood!

Momivate declares that Moms R.A.I.S.E. U.P. Society -- an acronym that is jam-packed with the multi-faceted elements of motherhood! The R in this acronym is for Relationships -- and this Momversation is specifically about our Relationship with our Husband.
Our guest, Dr. Jennifer Finlayson-Fife, is a sex therapist in Chicago, Illinois. She earned her doctorate from Boston College. She and her husband have three children. Her website offers various classes! The one she invites our audience to consider purchasing is called The Art of Desire.
Some of the questions discussed:
1. Sexuality in some homes has been taboo to talk about. How can we move past that? 2. Sometimes we put up a barrier of resentment between our spouse and ourselves. What can we do to work through that? 3. Some women may come into a relationship where their sexuality was damaged beforehand. What steps can a wife take to open up that honesty and be trusting of her spouse with something like that? 4. Let's talk about conflict. It's kind of scary to bring up something that is hard to talk about because you know it's going to ignite some kind of emotion. How can we manage that?
Momivate declares that Moms R.A.I.S.E. U.P. Society -- and the R in this acronym is for Relationships! We have all kinds of relationships, and this particular "Momversation" is about our relationship with God..
Our guests run an online community for women all over the globe to study God's word together. They provide fresh Bible studies each month, as well as weekly live meetings on Zoom to encourage one another. The accountability, intentionality, and community of Sojo Academy is what makes it unique!
Here are a sample of the questions that we discussed!
1. Connecting with other women/moms is such an important part of our well being. You two have found a way to do that in the online space. Can you share a bit about how you do that? 2. How does an online community help deepen your connection with God? 3. Why is time with God so important to us as moms? 4. How do you find time for God as a busy mom?
