Christina is a self-described "Food Person" and is discovering ways to welcome her children into the kitchen with curiosity and courage. She's fun to listen to as she tells stories and shares how we can be conscientious in creating a welcoming home atmosphere during mealtime. Let's get beyond battles over food and make happy memories instead.
Christina's background of an eating disorder puts some things in perspective for us as she worked through that challenge just to face another one with her hormonal imbalances. She's not a victim, though, but a victor as she now embraces a healthy attitude and works with her body to make food a joy for herself and her husband and three kids.
We love having Christina on our team here at Momivate! <<SPOILER ALERT>> Christina is using her background in Graphic Design to help us design a new logo!!

Cindy Thomsen has been sharing her talents with Mums (MomUnity Members) of Momivate for over a year! If you search her name in our search bar you'll find blog posts that she's written when she was actively serving as our Schedules & Systems CouncilMom. She even helped us develop the word CouncilMom! She "retired" from volunteering with Momivate so she could focus more on the many women she helps with her organizing business, HelpMeOrganize.net but she came back to have this "Momversation" with us about how to create a visually pleasing atmosphere for our families.
We're so grateful for Cindy and all that she's contributed to Momivate!
Momivate's Atmosphere CouncilMom, Annette T. Durfee, joined the "Momversation" to discuss the culminating efforts of using the five senses to create an atmosphere, an overall "ambiance" of love and safety! She categorized it into four areas that start with P -- watch the interview to discover them!
A big thank you to Annette for all that she contributes to Momivate! She makes it clear that she loves motherhood in spite of the obstacles and knows that it's worthy of our efforts to face those challenges and focus on the joy!
We had an amazing conversation with Dr. Marti Glenn, PhD whose background in prenatal and perinatal psychology is fascinating! She shares all kinds of tips and tricks about how to develop the skill of LISTENING in order to help our children feel LOVED!
We're so grateful Dr. Glenn joined us and we encourage you to visit her website and download the FREE books that will certainly bless your mothering efforts!
Also, she briefly mentioned Vagal Nurturing and afterward provided this link to watch a video teaching this skill to calm the nervous system! |
