By Anne Willa ![]() Sometimes, motherhood feels natural, comfortable, and like I’ve found exactly who I am and where I’m meant to be. Other times, it feels as though there has been a serious mix up in the universe and I cannot possibly be the one trusted to raise and care for these 3 precious souls. Sometimes, my children are my best friends and being their mom is exactly the way I always dreamed it would be. Other times, I’m quite certain their mission in life is to drive me to complete insanity. And sometimes, mission accomplished. Sometimes we are so hard on ourselves for not being the mom we think we ought to be—instead of honoring the fact that we have already taken the most difficult step of all, and made the choice to show up. To show up knowing very well what we’re getting ourselves into each and every morning… Today, I want you to refrain from looking at all the ways you could be a better mom; and acknowledge the things you’re doing right. In fact, write them down! Make a list right now of all the things you’re doing right. It might feel awkward at first…but there is something about putting pen to paper that helps the mind to connect more to the thoughts you’re thinking. Need some inspiration? Give our Daily “Momivation” Sheet a try! This free printable includes:
TIP: Save trees + time by printing out a copy and laminating, then using a dry erase marker to switch up your list. Place it in a spot you will see regularly like on your fridge to give you “Momivation” throughout the day! Today you showed up, and that’s something worth being proud of! Be mindful. Be present. Keep going mama. You’ve got this.
